The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has officially announced the exam dates and shift timings for the 3,951 vacant posts of Basic Computer Instructor (BCI) and Senior Computer Instructor (SCI).

Education Qualification

Senior Computer Instructor ·         Candidates must have an M.E./M.Tech degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, EE, EEE, ETE, or EIE; or an M.Sc. in Computer Science/IT; or MCA/’B’ Level/’C’ Level qualification, or any equivalent/higher qualification recognized by the Government. Candidates should also have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.
Basic Computer Instructor ·         Candidates must be a graduate with ‘A’ Level or PGDCA (minimum 1 year), or hold a B.E./B.Tech degree in Computer Science, IT, ECE, EE, EEE, EIC, or TIE, or a B.Sc. in Computer Science/IT, or a BCA from a recognized university. Any equivalent or higher qualification recognized by the Government is also acceptable. Candidates should also have working knowledge of Hindi written in Devanagari script and knowledge of Rajasthani culture.

Written Exam Pattern

Both BCI and SCI follow a identical test framework distributed across two distinct papers on the same day:

Ø  Structure: 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) per paper.

Ø  Marks Distribution: 1 mark for each correct response, bringing each paper to a total of 100 marks.

Ø  Negative Marking: A penalty of 1/3rd mark is deducted for every incorrect attempt.

Ø  OMR Constraint: The answering grid features 5 distinct options for each question item.

Ø  Minimum Qualifying Marks: Candidates must secure a baseline score of 40% (with a 5% relaxation offered to SC/ST categories) to qualify

 

Subject Breakdown

·         Paper-I (General): Art & Culture, History, Geography, General Science, Current Affairs of Rajasthan, alongside General Mental Ability, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Numeracy (Class X Level).

·         Paper-II (Technical): Pedagogy, Mental Ability, and core professional disciplines like Computer Fundamentals, Programming Basics, Data Structures, DBMS, and Computer Networks
